Phil Graf, Doug Dorman, Mike Hawkins, and I will have arrived in Brazil by the time you read this. We begin the first of three trainings in a city called Balneario Camboriu in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. Here is a copy of the poster in Portuguese announcing the “Conferencia:”
In addition to being accompanied by Doug Dorman (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina), and Mike Hawkins (a Brit now living in China), we will be joined by Brazilians Sammy and Marcia Dabir. Sammy and Marcia were “Participants” in our last Phase 1 training and will now be “Contributors” in Baln. Camboriu. They are the catalysts to our training in Brazil and have amazing hearts to reach their country for Christ.
Following our Phase 1 training in Baln. Camboriu, we will travel to Bom Retiro do Sul in the southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul, Sammy and Marcia’s home city. There we will conduct Phase 2 of our On-Expedition training: “Empowering Leaders for Multiplication.”
Our last stop will be in Sao Paulo, a city of 22 million people. There we will meet with church planters and friends Jane and Pete Hawkins. Jane and Pete started Sampa Community Church some years ago and they have a heart to see churches grow and multiply.
Thanks for being “on expedition” for Jesus and His kingdom with us. Pray that our training will contribute to His kingdom coming on earth as it is in heaven.
