Through the eyes of Jason (Part 2)

BRAZIL TRAINING

In my last post/letter, I gave a view of our recent training of leaders in Boa Retiro do Sul, Brazil through the eyes of a long-time pastor-friend, Jason Spense. I am enclosing Part 2 of our training through Jason’s eyes. It was an inspiring trip with a wonderful response, and a step toward “multiplying viral, missional, church-planting movements” in Brazil.

We also made a stop in Sao Paulo, Brazil to meet with long time friends Pete and Jane Hawkins to do some planning for future training, and in Montevideo, Uruguay to do a short version of the On-Expedition training.

Here is Jason’s report (Part 2)

Hello Everyone,

The last three days we have been participating in a Pastoral Leadership Workshop called the “Divine Expedition: Where are you in the book of Romans.

20 plus Pastors and their wives came from all over South Brazil

In addition to pastors and wives, there were over 125 other leaders who attended the workshop.

This workshop was designed to train Pastors to become reproducers: multipliers of disciples, disciplers, leaders, and churches.

There was more than just teaching; the training included small group interactive discussion…

…and prayer.

As a special treat, we even had traditional Brazilian Gaucho dancers.

It was a refreshing and inspiring time, interfacing with Brazilian Christians as the Holy Spirit unlocked the transforming message of the Book of Romans.

Jesus says…

*Come and see, check me out (John 1:38-39)

*Come and follow (Luke 5:1-11)

*Come and surrender/die (Mark 8:34,35)

*Come and multiply (Matthew 28:19,20)

Where are you in your journey with Christ?

“In God we boast all day long.” –Psalms 44:8
