ON-EXPEDITION TRAINING IN SOUTHERN BRAZIL
Phil Graf and I are finishing the first phase of our On Expedition training here in southern Brazil. This is the foundation of our four phase training designed to train leaders to “multiply viral, missional, church-planting movements.” Our connection to Boa Retiro do Sul (the city we have been training in) is Jason Spence, a long time friend who is a pastor at Hope Chapel in Maui, Hawaii. Jason has been visiting Boa Retira with short-term teams for the past nine years, investing in Samir (Sammy) and Marcia Dabir, and seeing a movement form. Jason and Sammy invited Phil and I to begin our training. I will let Jason tell the story (below). This is part 1.
Through Jason’s Eyes:
Hello Everyone,
Today, Pastor Sammy and I picked up the California team (Linus Morris and Phil Graf) at the airport.

Linus and Sharon have been missionary friends of mine for many years. Linus was one of my first teachers at the Bible college I attended in 1974. We have been talking for years about doing ministry together at Sammy/Marcia church in Boa Retiro do Sul, Brazil. This week it is a reality.

Linus and Phil will lead a three night Pastors and Leadership workshop through the book of Romans this week. They travel throughout the world training pastors and leaders in how to expand the Kingdom of God thru the local church (I will write on this later).

This evening our team divided up. Some of us went to the radio station (Linus, Phil and me) where we told about the upcoming workshop and shared our stories and the Gospel over the airwaves, while the rest of the Hope Chapel team went to a large High School to share their testimonies.
