Sharon and I extend our wishes for a Christ-filled New Year. We are now formally with Global Training Network (GTN), and plunging forward toward our goal to multiply, equip and encourage leaders…hundreds of them in 2012…and thousands in the years ahead. We are already considering invitations to train leaders in Uganda, South Sudan, Kenya, Costa Rica, and Cambodia, as well as here in the U.S.
We will work closely with GTN leadership as well as national pastors and leaders both near and far. One of the core messages we will include in our training will be The Divine Expedition: Where Are You in the Book of Romans? The book form will be in print soon, and we are working on a seminar format for training purposes. We will draw from years of experience in the areas of evangelism, discipling, leadership development, pastoring and church planting.
Our overall training will be biblically-based, Christ-centered, grace-oriented, outreach-focused, spiritually-vibrant, culturally-sensitive, and passionately-missional. Our mission (and that of GTN) is to train church planters, pastors and Christian leaders so that they can more effectively equip their congregations to evangelize and disciple their communities for Christ. These pastors and leaders then teach, train and disciple the men, women and children under their influence, and these indigenous Christians in turn continue the process of carrying out the Great Commission and the Great Commandment throughout their extended families, neighborhoods, villages, cities and entire nations!
