We’ve Got Our Man!

IN NEPAL, THAT IS

Meet the Nepali Pastor who has taken the leadership of the Global Training Network (GTN) Divine Expedition Training (DET) in Nepal.  That’s  him  (below) on the left with the red and white scarf. Pastor Rabin went through our four phases of training four times each and became a Master Trained along with the others pictured.

Our last training was in 2020 just at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. Because of Covid, our training in Nepal went dormant, except for Zoom calls. Then, just a few months ago, Pastor Rabin agreed to be our Divine Expedition leader in Nepal.

Rabin is an experienced pastor with leadership and vision for Nepal and the Divine Expedition training we have brought to Nepal. He is also the secretary for Province 6 of the Nepalese Christian Society, a coalition of churches and ministries with a vision to equip pastors throughout Nepal. Our training is part of that.

NEPAL

Nepal currently has the fastest growth rate of Christianity (percentage wise) of any nation on earth. The church in Nepal has grown from 6 churches in 1960  to 12,000 churches, and from 150 Christians to 2 millions Christians today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQSYnDRES2Q.

There is a massive training shortfall in Nepal. Operation World highlights Leadership Training as the most urgent need in the Nepali Church. Along with us, Pastor Rabin believes that the Divine Expedition Training is contributing, and will contribute even more, to the increase of the harvest in Nepal.

Since assuming the lead role in January, Pastor Rabin has hit the ground running. Below is an outline of our four phases of training designed to equip leaders to multiply movements that reach people for Christ, make disciples, develop leaders, and reproduce small groups and churches. Anyone speak Nepali?

Can anyone read this?

Here it is in English:

Under Pastor Rabin’s catalytic leadership, three trainings were just concluded in the areas of Nepal: Chitwan, Dhading, and Pokhara.

Here is what a map (outline) of the book of Romans (our phase 1 training) looks like. Following are a couple more photos from the just concluded trainings:

PRAY FOR PASTOR RABIN, PRAY FOR NEPAL

Pray for Pastor Rabin and the team of trainers he is raising up. His target is to finish 10 more trainings by August, eight of which are already scheduled. He has in view completing all 4 phases in 40 places.

Pray for Nepal too, as an anti-conversion law came into force in 2018, so that anyone convicted of encouraging someone to change their faith faces up to five years in jail. Nepal, like India next door has a militant Hindu government and is persecuting Christian leaders and ministries.

Thank God for raising up Pastor Rabin to multiply the Divine Expedition Training in Nepal, and thank you for being part of it with us.

Because of God’s great grace in Jesus,

Linus, for the Divine Expedition team.
