THE GLOBAL TRAINING NETWORK DIVINE EXPEDITION
As a part of the ministry of Global Training Network to equip and empower leaders in the Majority World, the Divine Expedition training is designed to multiply movements that reach people for Christ, make disciples, develop leaders, and reproduced churches.
Our Divine Expedition training is multiplying, not only in different countries, but also in different languages.
While our training is initially done in English, it is translated into the language of the country we are in, and quickly shifts to the national language, as we raise up nationals to train along side of us. By the time we complete our training process, those we train are able to train others by themselves. We call this “getting in the way, and then getting out of the way.”
DIVINE EXPEDITION IN ENGLISH: UGANDA AND SIERRA LEONE

We began out training in Uganda in English. Although there are 41 living languages spoken, English has been Uganda’s lone official language since its independence in 1962.

We have also been able to train without translation in Sierra Leone. Although a multilingual country (23 languages), nearly three-quarters of the population of Sierra Leone speak English, the de facto official language. Richard Wallace will lead our next training there in October.
DIVINE EXPEDITION IN PORTUGUESE: BRAZIL AND MOZAMBIQUE

Our training was translated into Portuguese in Brazil, the lingua-franca of that nation. Brazilians are now taking the training in Portuguese all over the country with plans to multiply it to Mozambique, another Portuguese-speaking nation.

In addition to an upcoming training in Mozambique led by the Brazilians we have trained, Divine Expedition trainings are scheduled in the Brazilian states of Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.
DIVINE EXPEDTION IN SPANISH: EL SALVADOR, NICARAGUA, CUBA, GUATEMALA

We began in Spanish-speaking El Salvador and have spread from there to Nicaragua, Cuba and Guatamala, all Spanish-speaking Central American countries.

Divine Expedition trainings are scheduled in all four of these nations by the end of 2023.
DIVINE EXPEDITION IN AMHARIC: ETHIOPIA

Many Ethiopians speak English but our training is translated into “Amharic,” a widely used “lingua franca and the government of Ethiopia’s official language.
As of 2007, only 29% of the population reported speaking Amharic as their main language. “Oromo” is also spoken as their main language by over a third of the population in Ethiopia.
The course we taught in Mek’ele, the capital of the northern Tigray Region of Ethiopia, was translated into “Tigrinya.”
DVINE EXPEDITION IN NEPALESE: NEPAL

Nepali is spoken by 78% of the population of Nepal either as first or second language, and has official language status. Another 120 languages are also recognized national languages.
Many Nepalese speak English as a second language, and is most prevalent language spoken among city dwellers residing in Kathmandu (the capital of Nepal). Because of this, we have been able to train comfortably in English with some translation.
We are excited that the Nepalese we have trained are now multiplying the Divine Expedition on their own.
DIVINE EXPEDITION IN ARMENIAN: ARMENIA

Phil Graf recently trained in Armenia and reported “God created many divine appointments and opportunities.” He was translated into Armenian, the countries official language, as he preached, gave a keynote address at a large youth conference, and trained at a National Leaders Institute and a Mercy Network Pastor’s network.
Next up in Armenia, by God’s grace, will be to launch our Divine Expedition.
